Lara W Massie, MD

Dr. Lara Massie is a neurosurgeon specializing in spinal surgery for adult spinal deformities, scoliosis, trauma, and tumors. Her research focuses on improving the patient experience and surgical techniques that are associated with the best patient outcomes. She is skilled and experienced in both minimally invasive and complex open surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery and spinal revision surgery. Her philosophy is to align the patient’s goals with the non-operative and surgical techniques best suited to reach that outcome.

Dr. Massie completed her undergraduate work in neuroscience at New York University, and received her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. She completed a neurosurgery residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and a fellowship in Adult Spinal Deformity at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
